人为我和福音，撇下房屋、或是弟兄、姊妹、母亲、父亲、儿女、田地，没有不在今世得百倍，就是房屋、弟兄、姊妹、母亲、儿女和田地，同各样的逼迫，且要在来世得永远生命的。（可10:29~30）

There is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for My sake and for the gospel's sake，but that he shall receive a undred times as such now at this time，houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and fields，with persecutions，and in the coming age，eternal life.（Mark 10:29-30）

有两位青年在一起谈论，其中一个说，“我讲不出主耶稣对我是何等宝贵，祂为我作了何等大的事，我真盼望你也加入基督的军队。”另一个说，“我正在那么想，但是这样一来，可要撇下好些东西，所以我得计算一下代价。”当时有一个基督徒，听见这话，就插进去说，“青年人啊，你只会盘算跟随主的代价，但你有否计算过，若不跟随主，你的损失是何其大呢？”这句话一直抓住那个青年人，使他在余下的日子忠心跟随主，作了基督的精兵二十七年，跑完当跑的路程。
