• 3:1　After these things King Ahasuerus promoted Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and he advanced him and set his seat above all the princes who were with him.
  • 这些事以后，亚哈随鲁王使亚甲族哈米大他的儿子哈曼尊大，抬举他，叫他位居与他在一起的众首领之上。
  • 3:2　And all the king's servants who were in the king's gate bowed down and paid homage to Haman, for so had the king commanded concerning him. But Mordecai did not bow down or pay homage.
  • 在王门那里，王的一切臣仆都跪拜哈曼，因为王曾如此吩咐；惟独末底改不跪不拜。
  • 3:3　Then the king's servants who were in the king's gate said to Mordecai, Why do you transgress the king's command?
  • 在王门那里，王的臣仆问末底改说，你为何违犯王的命令呢？
  • 3:4　And when they had spoken to him day after day and he did not listen to them, they told Haman, in order to see whether Mordecai's words would stand; for he had told them that he was a Jew.
  • 他们天天这样对他说，他还是不听，他们就告诉哈曼，要看末底改的话站得住站不住，因他已经告诉他们自己是犹大人。
  • 3:5　And when Haman saw that Mordecai did not bow down or pay homage to him, Haman was filled with rage.
  • 哈曼见末底改向他不跪不拜，就怒气填胸。
  • 3:6　But he disdained to lay hands on Mordecai alone, for they had told him who the people of Mordecai were; therefore Haman sought to destroy all the Jews, the people of Mordecai, who were throughout the kingdom of Ahasuerus.
  • 哈曼不屑只下手害末底改一人，因他们已将末底改的本族告诉他，所以他想要灭绝亚哈随鲁王通国所有的犹大人，就是末底改的本族。
  • 3:7　In the first month, which is the month Nisan, in the twelfth year of King Ahasuerus, they cast Pur, that is, the lot, before Haman from day to day and from month to month, until it fell on the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar.
  • 亚哈随鲁王十二年正月，就是尼散月，人在哈曼面前，按日子和月分掣普珥，就是掣签，择定了十二月，就是亚达月。
  • 3:8　And Haman said to King Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered and dispersed among the peoples throughout all the provinces of your kingdom; and their laws differ from those of all the people, nor do they keep the king's laws. Therefore it is not fitting for the king to let them remain.
  • 哈曼对亚哈随鲁王说，有一种民散居在王国各省的民中；他们的律例与万民的律例不同，他们也不遵行王的律例，所以容留他们对王并不妥当。
  • 3:9　If it please the king, let it be decreed in writing that they be destroyed, and I will pay ten thousand talents of silver into the hands of those who have charge of the king's affairs, that they may bring it into the king's treasuries.
  • 王若以为美，请下诏灭绝他们；我就称一万他连得银子，交给办理王事的人，纳入王的府库。
  • 3:10　Then the king took his signet ring from his hand and gave it to Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the Jews' enemy.
  • 于是王从自己手上摘下戒指，给犹大人的仇敌亚甲族哈米大他的儿子哈曼。
  • 3:11　And the king said to Haman, The silver has been given to you, as well as the people, to do with them as it seems good to you.
  • 王对哈曼说，这银子仍赐给你，这民也交给你，你看怎样好，就怎样待他们。
  • 3:12　Then the king's scribes were summoned in the first month, on the thirteenth day of the month; and it was decreed in writing, according to all that Haman commanded, to the king's satraps and to the governors who were over each province and to the princes of every people, to each province in its own script and to each people in their own tongue; in the name of King Ahasuerus was it written, and it was sealed with the king's signet ring.
  • 正月十三日，王的书记被召来，照着哈曼一切所吩咐的写了诏书，传与王的总督、各省的省长、和各族的首领，依照各省的文字达于各省，依照各族的方言达于各族；是奉亚哈随鲁王的名写的，并且用王的戒指盖了印。
  • 3:13　And letters were sent by couriers to all the king's provinces to destroy, to slay, and to annihilate all the Jews, both young and old, children and women, in one day, that is, the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month Adar, and to plunder their spoil.
  • 诏书由驿卒送达王的各省，吩咐要将所有的犹大人，无论老少妇女孩子，在一日之间，在十二月，就是亚达月十三日，全然歼毁，杀戮灭绝，并夺他们的财物为掠物。
  • 3:14　A copy of the written decree to be issued as law in all the provinces was published to all the peoples so that they would be ready for that day.
  • 这文书经过抄录，颁行各省成为法令，向各族宣示，使他们预备等候那日。
  • 3:15　The couriers went out, driven in haste by the king's command; and the decree was issued in Susa the capital. And the king and Haman sat down to drink, but the city of Susa was in confusion.
  • 驿卒奉王的谕旨急忙出发；法令也在书珊京城颁布。王和哈曼坐下饮酒，书珊城却一片慌乱。
