• 39:1　Do you know the time when the mountain goats bring forth? Can you mark the time when the hinds calve?

  • 39:2　Can you number the months that they must fulfill? Or do you know the time when they bring forth?
  • 你能数算它们怀胎须满足的月数么？你知道它们几时生产么？
  • 39:3　They crouch down; they give birth to their young ones; They send forth their offspring.
  • 它们屈身，将子生下，就把疼痛中所生的遣走。
  • 39:4　Their young become strong; they grow up in the open field; They go forth and do not return to them.
  • 它们的崽子渐渐肥壮，在荒野长大，一出去就不返回。
  • 39:5　Who has sent out the wild ass free? Or who has loosed the bonds of the swift ass,
  • 谁放野驴出去自由？谁解开快驴的绳索？
  • 39:6　Whose home I have made the wilderness, And the salt land, his dwelling place?
  • 我使旷野作它的住家，使咸地当它的居所。
  • 39:7　He scorns the tumult of the city; He does not hear the shouts of the driver.
  • 它嗤笑城内的喧嚷，不听赶牲口者的呼喝。
  • 39:8　He searches out the mountains for his pasture And seeks after every green thing.
  • 它探觅群山作草场，寻找各样青绿之物。
  • 39:9　Will the wild ox be willing to serve you Or spend the night by your manger?
  • 野牛岂肯服事你，岂肯在你的槽旁过夜？
  • 39:10　Can you bind the wild ox to the furrows with his ropes? Or will he plow the valleys behind you?
  • 你岂能用套绳将野牛系在犁沟之间？它岂肯随你耙山谷之地？
  • 39:11　Will you trust in him because his strength is great? Or will you leave your labor to him?
  • 岂可因它的力大，就倚靠它？岂可把你劳碌的工交给它作？
  • 39:12　Will you have confidence in him that he will bring in your seed And gather your grain to your threshing floor?
  • 岂可信靠它把你的谷种运回家，又把谷收聚到你的禾场？
  • 39:13　The wings of the ostrich flap joyously: Are they the pinion and plumage of lovingkindness?
  • 鸵鸟的翅膀欢然扇展，岂是显慈爱的翎毛和羽毛么？
  • 39:14　For she leaves her eggs on the earth And warms them in the dust.
  • 因它把蛋留在地上，使其在尘土中得温暖；
  • 39:15　And she forgets that a foot may crush them Or that an animal of the field may trample them.
  • 却忘了脚会把蛋踹碎，田野的兽会把蛋践踏。
  • 39:16　She is hard with her children, as if they were not hers; Though her labor may be in vain, she has no fear;
  • 它忍心待雏，似乎不是自己的；虽然徒受劳苦，也不惧怕；
  • 39:17　Because God has caused her to forget wisdom And has not appointed understanding to her.
  • 因为神使它没有智慧，也未将聪明分授与它。
  • 39:18　At that time when she lifts herself up on high, She scorns the horse and its rider.
  • 它几时挺身腾跃，就嗤笑马和骑马的人。
  • 39:19　Have you given the horse his might? Have you clothed his neck with the quivering mane?
  • 马的大力是你所赐的么？它颈项上挓桫的鬃，是你给它披上的么？
  • 39:20　Have you made him to leap like a locust? His majestic snorting is terrible.
  • 是你叫它跳跃像蝗虫么？它喷气之威使人惊惶。
  • 39:21　He paws in the valley, And he rejoices in his strength; He goes forth to meet weapons.
  • 它在谷中刨地，以自己的力气为乐；它出去迎接佩带兵器的人。
  • 39:22　He laughs at fear and is not dismayed, And he does not turn back from the sword.
  • 它嗤笑可怕的事，并不惊惶，也不因刀剑退回。
  • 39:23　A quiver of arrows rattles against him, The flashing spear and the javelin.
  • 箭袋和发亮的枪，并短枪，在它身上铮铮有声。
  • 39:24　With fierceness and rage he swallows the ground, And he is not stilled by the sound of the trumpet.
  • 它发猛烈的怒气将地吞下；一听角声就不耐站住。
  • 39:25　As often as the trumpet sounds, he says, Aha! And from afar he smells the battle, The thundering of captains and the shouting.
  • 角每发声，它就说，阿哈！它从远处闻着战气，又听见军长大发雷声，和兵丁呐喊。
  • 39:26　Is it by your understanding that the hawk soars, Stretching his wings to the south?
  • 鹰能飞翔，展翅南飞，岂是藉你的聪明么？
  • 39:27　Is it at your command that the eagle mounts up And makes his nest on high?
  • 大鹰上腾，在高处搭窝，岂是听你的吩咐么？
  • 39:28　On the cliff he dwells and makes his lodging, Upon the point of the cliff and the stronghold.
  • 它住在山岩，宿于山峰和坚固之处；
  • 39:29　From there he spies out food; His eyes gaze on it from afar.
  • 从那里窥看食物，眼睛远远观望。
  • 39:30　And his young ones suck up the blood; And where the slain are, there he is.
  • 它的雏也咂血；被杀的人在那里，它也在那里。
