- 20:1 And after the uproar had ceased, Paul, having sent for the disciples and having exhorted them, took leave of them and went off to go into Macedonia.
乱定之后,保罗请门徒来,劝勉了他们,就辞别起行,往马其顿去。
- 20:2 And when he had passed through those parts and had exhorted them with many words, he came into Greece,
他走遍了那一带地方,用许多话劝勉众人,然后来到希腊。
- 20:3 And spent three months there. And when a plot was made against him by the Jews as he was about to set sail for Syria, he resolved to return through Macedonia.
住了三个月,正要坐船往叙利亚去的时候,犹太人设计要害他,他就定意从马其顿回去。
- 20:4 And Sopater of Berea, the son of Pyrrhus, accompanied him, as well as Aristarchus and Secundus of the Thessalonians and Gaius of Derbe and Timothy and the Asians, Tychicus and Trophimus.
同他到亚西亚去的,有庇哩亚人毕罗斯的儿子所巴特,帖撒罗尼迦人亚里达古和西公都,还有特庇人该犹并提摩太,又有亚西亚人推基古和特罗非摩。
- 20:5 These had gone on ahead and were waiting for us at Troas.
这些人先走,在特罗亚等候我们。
- 20:6 And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of Unleavened Bread and in five days came to them in Troas, where we spent seven days.
过了除酵的日子,我们从腓立比开船,五天后到了特罗亚他们那里,在那里住了七天。
- 20:7 And on the first day of the week, when we gathered together to break bread, Paul conversed with them since he was to go forth on the next day; and he extended his message until midnight.
七日的第一日,我们聚集擘饼的时候,保罗因为次日要起行,就与他们讲论,直讲到半夜。
- 20:8 And there were a considerable number of lamps in the upper room where we were gathered together.
我们聚集的那座楼上,有好些灯。
- 20:9 And a certain young man named Eutychus was sitting in the window and began to sink into deep sleep while Paul conversed longer; and when he had been overcome by sleep, he fell down from the third story and was taken up dead.
有一个青年人名叫犹推古,坐在窗台上,困倦沉睡;保罗讲论了多时,这青年人睡熟了,就从三层楼上掉下去;扶起来,已经死了。
- 20:10 But Paul went down and fell upon him, and embracing him, he said, Do not make a commotion, for his soul is in him.
保罗下去,伏在他身上,抱着他说,你们不要慌张,因为他的魂还在身上。
- 20:11 And when he had gone up and broken the bread and eaten and had spoken for a considerable time, until daybreak, he therefore went forth.
保罗又上去,擘饼,吃了,谈论许久,直到天亮,这才走了。
- 20:12 And they brought the boy alive and were comforted, and that not moderately.
他们把那孩子活活的领来,得了不少的安慰。
- 20:13 But we, going ahead onto the ship, set sail for Assos, from there intending to pick up Paul, for so he had arranged it, himself intending to go by foot.
我们先上船开往亚朔去,意思要在那里接保罗,因为他是这样安排的,他自己打算要步行。
- 20:14 And when he met us in Assos, we picked him up and came to Mitylene.
他既在亚朔与我们相会,我们就接他上船,来到米推利尼。
- 20:15 And sailing away from there, on the following day we arrived opposite Chios; and on the next day we put in at Samos. And on the day following we came to Miletus,
从那里开船,次日到了基阿的对面,又次日越过去,在撒摩靠岸,又次日来到米利都。
- 20:16 For Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus so that he might not have to spend time in Asia; for he was hurrying so that if possible he might be in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost.
因为保罗早已定意越过以弗所,免得在亚西亚耽延时日;他急忙前行,巴不得赶五旬节能到耶路撒冷。
- 20:17 And from Miletus he sent word to Ephesus and called for the elders of the church.
保罗从米利都打发人往以弗所去,请召会的长老来。
- 20:18 And when they came to him, he said to them, You yourselves know, from the first day that I set foot in Asia, how I was with you all the time,
他们来到他那里,他就对他们说,你们知道,自从我到亚西亚第一天以来,与你们在一起始终为人如何,
- 20:19 Serving the Lord as a slave with all humility and tears and trials which came upon me by the plots of the Jews;
服事主,凡事谦卑,常常流泪,又因犹太人的谋害,历经试炼。
- 20:20 How I did not withhold any of those things that are profitable by not declaring them to you and by not teaching you publicly and from house to house,
凡与你们有益的,我没有一样避讳不告诉你们的,或在公众面前,或挨家挨户,我都教导你们。
- 20:21 Solemnly testifying both to Jews and to Greeks repentance unto God and faith in our Lord Jesus.
又对犹太人和希利尼人郑重作见证,当悔改归向神,信入我们的主耶稣。
- 20:22 And now, behold, I am going bound in the spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing what will meet me there,
看哪,现在我灵里受捆绑,要往耶路撒冷去,不知道在那里要遇见什么事,
- 20:23 Except that the Holy Spirit solemnly testifies to me in city after city, saying that bonds and afflictions await me.
只知道圣灵在各城里向我郑重见证说,有捆锁与患难等着我。
- 20:24 But I consider my life of no account as if precious to myself, in order that I may finish my course and the ministry which I have received from the Lord Jesus to solemnly testify of the gospel of the grace of God.
我却不以性命为念,也不看为宝贵,只要行完我的路程,成就我从主耶稣所领受的职事,郑重见证神恩典的福音。
- 20:25 And now, behold, I know that you all, among whom I have gone about proclaiming the kingdom, will see my face no more.
我曾在你们中间来往,传扬国度,看哪,如今我晓得,你们众人都不会再见我的面了。
- 20:26 Therefore I testify to you on this day that I am clean from the blood of all men,
所以我今日向你们见证,我在众人的血上是洁净的。
- 20:27 For I did not shrink from declaring to you all the counsel of God.
因为神的旨意,我并没有一样避讳不告诉你们。
- 20:28 Take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among whom the Holy Spirit has placed you as overseers to shepherd the church of God, which He obtained through His own blood.
圣灵立你们作全群的监督,你们就当为自己谨慎,也为全群谨慎,牧养神的召会,就是祂用自己的血所买来的。
- 20:29 I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock.
我知道我离开以后,必有凶暴的豺狼进入你们中间,不爱惜羊群。
- 20:30 And from among you yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverted things to draw away the disciples after them.
就是你们中间,也必有人起来,说悖谬的话,要勾引门徒跟从他们。
- 20:31 Therefore watch, remembering that for three years, night and day, I did not cease admonishing each one with tears.
所以你们应当儆醒,记念我三年之久,昼夜不住的流泪劝戒你们各人。
- 20:32 And now I commit you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who have been sanctified.
如今我把你们交托神和祂恩典的话,这话能建造你们,叫你们在一切圣别的人中得着基业。
- 20:33 I have coveted no one's silver or gold or clothing.
我未曾贪图过任何人的金、银、衣服。
- 20:34 You yourselves know that these hands have ministered to my needs and to those who are with me.
我这两只手常供给我和同伴的需用,这是你们自己知道的。
- 20:35 In all things I have shown you by example that toiling in this way we ought to support the weak and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
我凡事给你们作了榜样,叫你们知道,必须这样劳苦,扶助软弱的人,并且记念主耶稣的话,祂自己说过,施比受更为有福。
- 20:36 And when he had said these things, he knelt down with them all and prayed.
保罗说完了这话,就跪下,同众人祷告。
- 20:37 And there was considerable weeping by all; and falling on Paul's neck, they kissed him affectionately,
众人痛哭,抱着保罗的颈项,热切的和他亲嘴。
- 20:38 Especially pained over the word which he had spoken, that they would no longer behold his face. And they escorted him to the ship.
叫他们最伤心的,就是他说,他们不能再见他面的那句话。于是送他上船去了。
