- 14:1 And as He went into the house of one of the rulers of the Pharisees on a Sabbath to eat bread, they were watching Him closely.
当安息日,耶稣到一个法利赛人的首领家里去吃饭,他们在窥探祂。
- 14:2 And behold, there was before Him a certain man suffering from dropsy.
看哪,在祂面前有一个患水臌的人。
- 14:3 And Jesus answered and spoke to the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath or not?
耶稣对律法师和法利赛人说,安息日治病,可以不可以?
- 14:4 But they were quiet. And He took hold of him and healed him and sent him away.
他们却静默无声。耶稣就扶着那人,医治了他,打发他走了。
- 14:5 And He said to them, Which of you having a donkey or an ox that falls into a well will not immediately pull it out on the Sabbath day?
然后对他们说,你们中间谁有驴或牛,在安息日掉在井里,不立即拉它上来?
- 14:6 And they were not able to reply to these things.
他们不能对答这话。
- 14:7 And He told a parable to those who had been invited, when He noticed how they were choosing the places of honor, saying to them,
耶稣注意到被请的客人怎样选择首位,就对他们讲了一个比喻说,
- 14:8 When you are invited by anyone to a wedding feast, do not recline in the place of honor, lest someone more honorable than you may have been invited by him,
你被人请去赴婚筵,不要坐在首位上,恐怕有比你尊贵的被他请来;
- 14:9 And he who invited you and him come and say to you, Give this one that place; and then you begin with shame to occupy the last place.
那请你们的人前来对你说,让座给这一位吧。你就羞羞惭惭的坐到末位上去了。
- 14:10 But when you are invited, go and recline in the last place, so that when the one who has invited you comes, he may say to you, Friend, come up higher. Then you will have glory before all those reclining with you.
你被请的时候,要去坐在末位上,好叫那请你的人来,对你说,朋友,请上坐。那时你在同席的人面前就有光采了。
- 14:11 For everyone who exalts himself shall be humbled, and he who humbles himself shall be exalted.
因为凡高抬自己的,必降为卑;降卑自己的,必升为高。
- 14:12 And He said also to the one who had invited Him, When you make a morning meal or a dinner, do not call your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, lest they also invite you in return and it become a repayment to you.
耶稣又对请祂的人说,你摆设午饭或晚饭,不要请你的朋友、弟兄、亲属和富足的邻舍,恐怕他们也回请你,你就得了报答。
- 14:13 But when you give a reception, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind,
你摆设筵席,倒要请那贫穷的、残废的、瘸腿的、瞎眼的,你就有福了,
- 14:14 And you will be blessed, because they do not have anything with which to repay you; for it will be repaid to you in the resurrection of the righteous.
因为他们没有可报答你的;在义人复活的时候,你要得着报答。
- 14:15 And one of those reclining at table with Him, hearing these things, said to Him, Blessed is he who shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.
同席的有一人听见这话,就对耶稣说,在神国里吃饭的有福了。
- 14:16 And He said to him, A certain man was making a great dinner and invited many;
耶稣对他说,有一人摆设大筵席,请了许多人。
- 14:17 And he sent his slave at the dinner hour to say to those who had been invited, Come, for all things are now ready.
到了坐席的时候,打发奴仆去对所请的人说,请来吧,样样都齐备了。
- 14:18 And they all with one consent began to make excuses. The first said to him, I have bought a piece of land, and I need to go out and see it. I ask you, have me excused.
众人一致推辞。头一个对他说,我买了一块地,必须去看看,请你准我辞了。
- 14:19 And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to prove them. I ask you, have me excused.
另一个说,我买了五对牛,要去试一试,请你准我辞了。
- 14:20 And another said, I have married a wife, and because of this I cannot come.
还有一个说,我才娶了妻,所以不能去。
- 14:21 And the slave came up and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house became angry and told his slave, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor and crippled and blind and lame.
那奴仆回来,把这些事都报告了主人。家主就动怒,对奴仆说,快出去到城里大街小巷,带那贫穷的、残废的、瞎眼的、瘸腿的到这里来。
- 14:22 And the slave said, Master, what you commanded has been done, and still there is room.
奴仆说,主阿,你所吩咐的已经办了,还有空位。
- 14:23 And the master said to the slave, Go out into the roads and hedges and compel them to come in, so that my house may be filled.
主人对奴仆说,你出去到路上和篱笆那里,勉强人进来,坐满我的屋子。
- 14:24 For I tell you that none of those men who were invited shall taste of my dinner.
我告诉你们,先前所请的人,没有一个得尝我的筵席。
- 14:25 And there were great crowds going along with Him, and He turned and said to them,
有好多群众和耶稣同行,祂转过身来对他们说,
- 14:26 If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, and moreover, even his own soul-life, he cannot be My disciple.
人到我这里来,若不恨自己的父亲、母亲、妻子、儿女、弟兄、姊妹,甚至自己的魂生命,就不能作我的门徒。
- 14:27 Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.
凡不背着自己十字架跟从我的,也不能作我的门徒。
- 14:28 For which of you, wanting to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?
你们中间谁想要盖一座楼,不先坐下计算花费,能盖成不能?
- 14:29 Lest perhaps, once he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all those looking on will begin to mock him,
恐怕安了地基,不能完工,看见的人都嘲笑他,说,
- 14:30 Saying, This man began to build and was not able to finish.
这个人开始盖造,却不能完工。
- 14:31 Or what king, going to engage another king in war, will not first sit down and deliberate whether he is able with ten thousand to meet the one coming against him with twenty thousand?
或是一个王,去和别的王打仗,岂不先坐下酌量,能用一万人去迎战那领二万人来攻打他的么?
- 14:32 Otherwise, while he is yet at a distance, he sends an envoy and asks for the terms of peace.
若是不能,就趁敌人还远的时候,派特使去求和平的条款。
- 14:33 In the same way therefore everyone of you who does not forsake all his own possessions cannot be My disciple.
这样,你们每个人,若不舍弃一切所有的,就不能作我的门徒。
- 14:34 Therefore salt is good; but if even the salt becomes tasteless, with what will its saltiness be restored?
盐本是好的,但若是连盐也失了味,可用什么叫它再咸?
- 14:35 It is fit neither for the land nor for the manure pile; they will throw it out. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
或用在田里,或堆在粪里,都不合式,只好扔在外面。有耳可听的,就应当听。
