士师记 Judges 11

11:1　Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valor. And he was the son of a harlot, and Gilead had begotten Jephthah.
基列人耶弗他是个大能的勇士，是妓女的儿子；耶弗他是基列所生的。
11:2　And Gilead's wife bore him sons. And when the woman's sons grew up, they drove Jephthah out and said to him, You shall not have an inheritance in the house of our father, for you are the son of some other woman.
基列的妻子也给他生了几个儿子；他妻子所生的儿子长大了，就赶逐耶弗他，说，你不可在我们父家承受产业，因为你是别的妇人的儿子。
11:3　So Jephthah fled from his brothers and dwelt in the land of Tob. And worthless men collected around Jephthah, and they went out with him.
耶弗他就逃离他的弟兄们，去住在陀伯地。有些无赖之徒到他那里聚集，与他一同出入。
11:4　And after some time the children of Ammon fought with Israel.
过了些日子，亚扪人与以色列争战。
11:5　And when the children of Ammon fought with Israel, the elders of Gilead went to get Jephthah from the land of Tob.
亚扪人与以色列争战的时候，基列的长老到陀伯地去，要叫耶弗他回来。
11:6　And they said to Jephthah, Come and be our chief, and we will fight against the children of Ammon.
他们对耶弗他说，请你来作我们的统帅，我们好与亚扪人争战。
11:7　And Jephthah said to the elders of Gilead, Are you not the ones who hated me and drove me out from the house of my father? Why then do you come to me now that you are in distress?
耶弗他对基列的长老说，从前你们不是恨我、赶逐我离开父家么？现在你们遭难为何到我这里来呢？
11:8　And the elders of Gilead said to Jephthah, This is the reason we have turned now to you, that you would come with us and fight against the children of Ammon and be for us the head of all the inhabitants of Gilead.
基列的长老对耶弗他说，现在我们回到你这里来，是因为要你同我们去，攻打亚扪人；你可以作我们基列一切居民的首领。
11:9　And Jephthah said to the elders of Gilead, If you are bringing me back to fight against the children of Ammon and Jehovah delivers them up before me, will I be your head?
耶弗他对基列的长老说，如果你们叫我回去，攻打亚扪人，耶和华又把他们交给我，我可以作你们的首领么？
11:10　And the elders of Gilead said to Jephthah, Let Jehovah be a Witness between us: As you have spoken, so shall we surely do.
基列的长老对耶弗他说，有耶和华在你我中间作见证，我们必定照你的话行。
11:11　So Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead, and the people made him head and chief over them. And Jephthah spoke all his words before Jehovah in Mizpah.
于是耶弗他同基列的长老回去，百姓就立耶弗他作他们的首领和统帅。耶弗他在米斯巴将自己的一切话诉说在耶和华面前。
11:12　And Jephthah sent messengers to the king of the children of Ammon, saying, What is there between me and you, that you have come to me to fight against my land?
耶弗他打发使者去见亚扪人的王，说，你与我有什么相干，竟来到我这里攻打我的地呢？
11:13　And the king of the children of Ammon said to Jephthah's messengers, Because Israel took my land when they came up from Egypt, from the Arnon as far as Jabbok and the Jordan. Now therefore restore it peacefully.
亚扪人的王对耶弗他的使者说，因为以色列人从埃及上来的时候夺了我的地，从亚嫩河到雅博河，直到约但河。现在你要和和平平的将这地归还。
11:14　And Jephthah yet again sent messengers to the king of the children of Ammon.
耶弗他又打发使者去见亚扪人的王，
11:15　And he said to him, Thus says Jephthah, Israel did not take the land of Moab nor the land of the children of Ammon.
对他说，耶弗他如此说，以色列人并没有夺取摩押地和亚扪人的地。
11:16　But when they came up from Egypt, and Israel went through the wilderness to the Red Sea and came to Kadesh,
以色列人从埃及上来时，乃是经过旷野到红海，来到加低斯，
11:17　Israel sent messengers to the king of Edom, saying, May we please pass through your land? But the king of Edom would not hear of it. And they also sent messengers to the king of Moab, but he would not allow it. So Israel remained in Kadesh.
就打发使者去见以东王，说，求你让我们从你的地经过。以东王却不应允。他们又打发使者去见摩押王，他也不允准。因此以色列人就住在加低斯。
11:18　And they went through the wilderness and went around the land of Edom and the land of Moab; and they went to the east of the land of Moab and encamped beyond the Arnon. Thus they did not go through the territory of Moab, for the Arnon is the border of Moab.
他们又经过旷野，绕着以东地和摩押地，到了摩押地的东边，在亚嫩河的另一边安营；因此他们并没有入摩押的境内，因为亚嫩河是摩押的边界。
11:19　Then Israel sent messengers to Sihon the king of the Amorites, the king of Heshbon, and Israel said to him, May we please pass through your land to our place?
然后以色列人打发使者去见亚摩利人的王西宏，就是希实本的王，对他说，求你让我们从你的地经过，往我们自己的地方去。
11:20　But Sihon did not trust Israel to cross through his territory. So Sihon gathered all his people together and encamped in Jahaz; and he fought with Israel.
西宏却不信任以色列人，不让他们经过他的境界。西宏招聚他的众民在雅杂安营，与以色列人争战。
11:21　And Jehovah the God of Israel, delivered Sihon and all his people into the hand of Israel, and they struck them. And Israel took possession of all the land of the Amorites, the inhabitants of that land.
耶和华以色列的神，将西宏和他的众民都交在以色列人手中，以色列人就击杀他们，得了住在那地之亚摩利人的全地。
11:22　And they took possession of all the territory of the Amorites, from the Arnon as far as Jabbok and from the wilderness to the Jordan.
他们得了亚摩利人的四境，从亚嫩河到雅博河，从旷野直到约但河。
11:23　So now Jehovah the God of Israel has dispossessed the Amorites for the sake of His people Israel. Should you then dispossess them?
如今耶和华以色列的神，既为祂百姓以色列的缘故赶出亚摩利人，你竟要得他们的地么？
11:24　Will you not take possession of that which Chemosh your god has dispossessed for you? Thus we will take possession of all that Jehovah our God dispossesses for our sake.
你的神基抹为你所赶出之人的地，你不是要得为业么？耶和华我们的神为我们的缘故所赶出之人的一切地，我们就要得为业。
11:25　And now are you any better than Balak the son of Zippor, the king of Moab? Did he ever strive with Israel, or did he ever fight against them?
难道你比摩押王西拨的儿子巴勒还强么？他曾与以色列人争竞，或曾与他们争战么？
11:26　While Israel dwelt in Heshbon and its towns, and in Aroer and its towns, and in all the cities that are along the Arnon, three hundred years, why did you not recover them within that time?
以色列人住希实本和属希实本的乡镇，亚罗珥和属亚罗珥的乡镇，并沿亚嫩河的一切城邑，已经有三百年了；在这三百年之内，你们为什么没有取回这些地方呢？
11:27　So I have not sinned against you, but you do me wrong in fighting against me. Jehovah the Judge will judge today between the children of Israel and the children of Ammon.
原来我没有得罪你，你却攻打我，恶待我。愿审判人的耶和华今日在以色列人和亚扪人中间审断。
11:28　But the king of the children of Ammon would not listen to the words of Jephthah, which he sent him.
亚扪人的王不肯听耶弗他打发人对他所说的话。
11:29　And the Spirit of Jehovah came upon Jephthah. And he passed through Gilead and through Manasseh; and he passed on to Mizpeh of Gilead, and from Mizpeh of Gilead he passed on to the children of Ammon.
耶和华的灵临到耶弗他身上，他就经过基列和玛拿西；他来到基列的米斯巴，又从基列的米斯巴来到亚扪人那里。
11:30　And Jephthah made a vow to Jehovah, and he said, If You will really deliver the children of Ammon into my hand,
耶弗他向耶和华许愿，说，你若真的将亚扪人交在我手中，
11:31　Whoever comes out through the doors of my house to meet me when I return in peace from the children of Ammon will be Jehovah's, and I will offer him up as a burnt offering.
我从亚扪人那里平平安安回来的时候，无论什么人，从我家门出来迎接我，就必归耶和华，我也必将他献上为燔祭。
11:32　And Jephthah passed on to the children of Ammon to fight against them, and Jehovah delivered them into his hand.
于是耶弗他往亚扪人那里去，攻打他们；耶和华将他们交在他手中，
11:33　And he struck them from Aroer until you come to Minnith, twenty cities, and to Abel-keramim, with a very great stroke. So the children of Ammon were subdued before the children of Israel.
他就大大击杀他们，从亚罗珥到米匿，直到亚备勒基拉明，攻取了二十座城。这样亚扪人就在以色列人面前被制伏了。
11:34　Then Jephthah came to his house at Mizpah, and there came his daughter out to meet him, with timbrels and with dances. Now she was an only child; he had no son or daughter besides her.
耶弗他回米斯巴到了自己的家，不料，他女儿拿着鼓跳舞出来迎接他，是他独生的，此外无儿无女。
11:35　And when he saw her, he tore his clothes and said, Ah, my daughter! You have brought me very low, and you are among those who trouble me. For I have opened my mouth to Jehovah, and I cannot retract it.
耶弗他看见她，就撕裂衣服，说，哀哉！我的女儿阿，你使我甚是愁苦，你叫我太作难了；因为我已经向耶和华开口许愿，不能收回。
11:36　And she said to him, My father, you have opened your mouth to Jehovah; do with me according to what has gone forth from your mouth, seeing that Jehovah has executed vengeance for you on your enemies, on the children of Ammon.
他女儿回答说，我父阿，你既向耶和华开口，就当照你口中所出的向我行，因耶和华已经在你的仇敌亚扪人身上为你报仇；
11:37　And she said to her father, Let this thing be done for me: Let me be alone for two months that I may depart and descend upon the mountains, and bewail my virginity, I and my companions.
又对父亲说，求你允准我这件事：让我去两个月，与同伴下到山间，好哀哭我终身作处女。
11:38　And he said, Go; and he sent her away for two months. And she departed, she and her companions, and bewailed her virginity upon the mountains.
耶弗他说，你去罢；就让她去两个月。她便和同伴去了，在山上为她终身作处女哀哭。
11:39　And at the end of two months she returned to her father, and he did with her according to the vow that he had vowed; and she had never known a man. And it became a custom in Israel
满了两个月，她回到父亲那里，父亲就照所许的愿向她行了；女儿终身没有亲近男子。此后以色列中有个规矩，
11:40　That each year the daughters of Israel would go to lament the daughter of Jephthah the Gileadite, four days in the year.
每年以色列的女子去为基列人耶弗他的女儿哀哭，一年四天。
