- 14:1 In the second year of Joash the son of Joahaz, the king of Israel, Amaziah the son of Joash, the king of Judah, began to reign.

以色列王约哈斯的儿子约阿施第二年，犹大王约阿施的儿子亚玛谢登基。
- 14:2 He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem for twenty-nine years; and his mother's name was Jehoaddin of Jerusalem.

他登基的时候年二十五岁，在耶路撒冷作王二十九年；他母亲名叫约耶但，是耶路撒冷人。
- 14:3 And he did what was right in the sight of Jehovah, yet not like David his father; he did according to all that Joash his father had done.

亚玛谢行耶和华眼中看为正的事，只是不如他祖大卫；他照他父亲约阿施一切所行的而行。
- 14:4 However the high places were not removed; the people still sacrificed and burned incense in the high places.

只是邱坛还没有废去，百姓仍在邱坛献祭烧香。
- 14:5 And when the kingdom was established in his hand, he struck down his servants who had struck down his father the king.
-
国在他手中一坚定，他就把杀他父王的臣仆杀了；
- 14:6 But the children of the murderers he did not put to death, as it is written in the book of the law of Moses, in which Jehovah commanded, saying, Fathers shall not be put to death because of their children, nor shall children be put to death because of their fathers; but every man shall be put to death for his own sin.

但他没有把杀王之人的儿子处死，是照摩西律法书上所写，耶和华所吩咐的，说，父亲不可因儿子的缘故被处死，
- 14:7 He struck ten thousand of Edom in the Valley of Salt; and he captured Sela in battle and called the name of it Joktheel, as it is to this day.

儿子也不可因父亲的缘故被处死；各人要因自己的罪被处死。亚玛谢在盐谷杀了以东人一万，又战取了西拉，改名叫约帖，直到今日。
- 14:8 Then Amaziah sent messengers to Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz the son of Jehu, the king of Israel, saying, Come, let us confront each other.

那时，亚玛谢差遣使者去见耶户的孙子，约哈斯的儿子以色列王约阿施，说，你来，我们在战场上彼此见面。
- 14:9 And Jehoash the king of Israel sent word to Amaziah the king of Judah, saying, The thornbush that was in Lebanon sent word to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying, Give your daughter to my son as his wife; but a wild beast that was in Lebanon passed by and trampled the thornbush.

以色列王约阿施差遣人去见犹大王亚玛谢，说，利巴嫩的蒺藜差遣人去见利巴嫩的香柏树，说，将你的女儿给我儿子为妻；然而利巴嫩有一只野兽经过，把蒺藜践踏了。
- 14:10 You have surely struck Edom, and your heart has lifted you up. Glorify yourself, but remain in your home. Why should you stir up trouble so that you and Judah with you fall?

你打败了以东人，就心里高傲。你自以为荣，在家里安居就罢了；为何要惹祸，使自己和犹大国一同败亡呢？
- 14:11 But Amaziah would not listen; so Jehoash the king of Israel went up, and he and Amaziah the king of Judah confronted each other in Beth-shemesh, which belongs to Judah.

亚玛谢却不肯听从；于是以色列王约阿施上来，在属犹大的伯示麦，与犹大王亚玛谢在战场上彼此见面。
- 14:12 And Judah was defeated before Israel, and they fled, each man to his tent.
-
犹大人败在以色列人面前，各人逃往自己的帐棚去了。
- 14:13 And Jehoash the king of Israel captured Amaziah the king of Judah the son of Jehoash the son of Ahaziah in Beth- shemesh; and he came to Jerusalem and tore down the wall of Jerusalem from the gate of Ephraim to the Corner Gate, four hundred cubits.

以色列王约阿施在伯示麦擒住亚哈谢的孙子，约阿施的儿子犹大王亚玛谢，就来到耶路撒冷，拆毁耶路撒冷的城墙，从以法莲门直到角门，共四百肘。
- 14:14 And he took all the gold and silver and all the vessels that were found in the house of Jehovah and in the treasuries of the king's house as well as hostages, and returned to Samaria.

他又将耶和华殿里与王宫府库里所有的金银和器皿都拿了去，并带人去为质，就回撒玛利亚去了。
- 14:15 And the rest of the acts of Jehoash which he did and his might and how he fought with Amaziah the king of Judah, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

约阿施其余所行的事，和他的勇力，并他与犹大王亚玛谢争战的事，岂不都写在以色列诸王记上么？
- 14:16 And Jehoash slept with his fathers and was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel. And Jeroboam his son reigned in his place.
-
约阿施与他列祖同睡，葬在撒玛利亚，与以色列诸王葬在一起。他儿子耶罗波安接续他作王。
- 14:17 And Amaziah the son of Joash, the king of Judah, lived for fifteen years after the death of Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz, the king of Israel.

以色列王约哈斯的儿子约阿施死后，犹大王约阿施的儿子亚玛谢又活了十五年。
- 14:18 And the rest of the acts of Amaziah, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

亚玛谢其余的事，岂不都写在犹大诸王记上么？
- 14:19 And they formed a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem, and he fled to Lachish; and they sent men after him to Lachish, and they killed him there.

耶路撒冷有人结党背叛亚玛谢，他就逃到拉吉；叛党却打发人追到拉吉，在那里将他杀了。
- 14:20 And they brought him on horses, and he was buried in Jerusalem with his fathers in the city of David.
-
人就用马将他的尸首驮回去，葬在耶路撒冷，在大卫城里，与他的列祖在一起。
- 14:21 And all the people of Judah took Azariah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king in place of his father Amaziah.
-
犹大众民选取亚撒利雅，立他接续他父亲亚玛谢作王，那时他年十六岁。
- 14:22 It was he who built Elath and restored it to Judah after Amaziah the king slept with his fathers.
-
亚玛谢王与他列祖同睡之后，亚撒利雅修筑以拉他，使其仍归犹大。
- 14:23 In the fifteenth year of Amaziah the son of Joash, the king of Judah, Jeroboam the son of Joash, the king of Israel, began to reign in Samaria; he reigned forty-one years.

犹大王约阿施的儿子亚玛谢十五年，以色列王约阿施的儿子耶罗波安在撒玛利亚登基，作王四十一年。
- 14:24 And he did what was evil in the sight of Jehovah; he did not turn away from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, by which he caused Israel to sin.

他行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，不离开尼八的儿子耶罗波安使以色列人犯罪的一切罪。
- 14:25 He restored the border of Israel from the entrance of Hamath to the sea of the Arabah, according to the word of Jehovah the God of Israel, which He spoke through His servant Jonah the son of Amittai, the prophet who was of Gath-hepher.

他收回以色列边界之地，从哈马口直到亚拉巴海，正如耶和华以色列的神藉祂的仆人，迦特希弗人亚米太的儿子申言者约拿所说的。
- 14:26 For Jehovah saw the affliction of Israel, that it was very bitter, for there was neither bond nor free left, nor was there anyone to help Israel.

因为耶和华看见以色列人遭受患难，甚是艰苦，无论困住的、自由的，都没有了，也无人帮助以色列人。
- 14:27 And Jehovah did not say that He would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven but saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash.

耶和华并没有说要将以色列的名从天下涂抹，乃藉约阿施的儿子耶罗波安拯救他们。
- 14:28 And the rest of the acts of Jeroboam and all that he did and his might, how he warred and how he restored for Israel Damascus and Hamath, which had belonged to Judah, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

耶罗波安其余的事，凡他所行的和他的勇力，他怎样争战，怎样收回大马色和先前属犹大的哈马归以色列，岂不都写在以色列诸王记上么？
- 14:29 And Jeroboam slept with his fathers, with the kings of Israel. And Zechariah his son reigned in his place.

耶罗波安与他列祖以色列诸王同睡。他儿子撒迦利雅接续他作王。
