- 20:1 Then Zophar the Naamathite answered and said,

拿玛人琐法回答说，
- 20:2 Because of this, my disquieting thoughts answer me; And hence my haste is in me.
-
为此，我烦扰的思念叫我回答；我的里面急躁。
- 20:3 I hear the reproof that humiliates me, And the spirit of my understanding answers me.
-
我听见那羞辱我、责备我的话；我的灵凭我的悟性叫我回答。
- 20:4 Do you not know this from of old, Since man was set upon the earth,
-
你岂不知亘古以来，自从人被安置在地上，
- 20:5 That the joyous shouting of the wicked is short, And the rejoicing of the profane is but for a moment?
-
恶人的欢呼是短暂的，不虔敬人的喜乐不过转眼之间么？
- 20:6 Though his arrogance goes up to heaven, And his head touches the clouds;
-
他的高傲虽达到天上，头虽顶到云中；
- 20:7 Like his own dung he perishes forever; Those who have seen him say, Where is he?
-
他必永远灭亡，像自己的粪一样；素来见他的人要说，他在那里呢？
- 20:8 Like a dream he flies away and is not found; Indeed he is chased away like a vision of the night.

他必如梦飞去，不被寻见；他被赶逐如夜间的异象。
- 20:9 The eye looks on him then sees him no more, Nor does his place observe him anymore.
-
亲眼见过他的，必不再看见他；他的本处，也再见不着他。
- 20:10 His children seek the favor of the poor, And his hands return his wealth.
-
他的儿女要求穷人的恩惠，他的手要赔还不义之财。
- 20:11 His bones are full of youthful vigor, Yet it lies down with him in the dust.
-
他的骨头虽满有青年之力，却要和他一同躺卧在尘土中。
- 20:12 Though wickedness is sweet in his mouth, Though he hides it under his tongue,
-
邪恶在他口中虽然甘甜，他将其藏于舌下，
- 20:13 Though he favors it and will not forsake it, But holds it in his mouth;
-
爱恋不舍，含在口中；
- 20:14 His food in his bowels is changed; It is the venom of asps within him.
-
他的食物在肚腹里，要起变化，在他里面成为虺蛇的恶毒。
- 20:15 He swallows down riches and vomits them up; God casts them forth from his stomach.
-
他吞了财宝，还要吐出；神要从他腹中掏出来。
- 20:16 He sucks the poison of asps; The tongue of the viper slays him.
-
他必吸虺蛇的毒；蝮蛇的舌头也必杀他。
- 20:17 He will not look on the rivers, The streams flowing with honey and butter.
-
他不得再见河川，就是流蜜与奶油之河。
- 20:18 He will return what he toiled for and will not swallow it down; And he will not rejoice according to the wealth of his trading.
-
他劳碌得来的要赔还，不得享用；不能照交易所得的财货欢乐。
- 20:19 For he has oppressed and abandoned the poor; He has violently seized a house that he did not build.
-
他欺压、离弃穷人；强取非自己所盖的房屋。
- 20:20 Because he knew no respite in his craving, Of that which he desired he will save nothing.
-
他因贪得无厌，所喜悦的连一样也不能保全。
- 20:21 There will be nothing left of what he has devoured; Thus his prosperity will not endure.
-
他所吞吃的，没有一样余剩；所以他的福乐不能持久。
- 20:22 In the fullness of his sufficiency he will be distressed; The hand of everyone in trouble will come against him.
-
他在充足满盈的时候，必成为困苦；凡受苦楚的人，都必加手在他身上。
- 20:23 In order to fill his belly, God will send the burning fierceness of His wrath on him And will rain it upon him as his food.
-
神必将猛烈的忿怒降在他身上，像雨降在他身上，作他的食物，充满他的肚腹。
- 20:24 He will flee from the iron weapon, But the bronze bow will strike him through.
-
他要躲避铁制的兵器，但铜弓的箭要将他射透。
- 20:25 He draws the arrow out, and it comes out of his body; Indeed the glittering point goes forth from his gall. Terrors come upon him.
-
他一抽，箭就从他身上出来；发光的箭头，从他胆中出来；有惊惶临到他身上。
- 20:26 Total darkness is laid up as his treasures; A fire not fanned by man will devour him; It will feed on what is left in his tent.
-
有全般的黑暗存留，作他的财宝；有非人所吹的火，要把他烧灭，把他帐棚中所剩下的烧毁。
- 20:27 The heavens will reveal his iniquity, And the earth will rise up against him.
-
天要显明他的罪孽，地要兴起攻击他。
- 20:28 The increase of his house will depart As things swept away in the day of His wrath.
-
他家所累增的必被迁去，在神发怒的日子，必被冲没。
- 20:29 This is the wicked man's portion from God And the inheritance decreed to him by God.
-
这是恶人从神所得的分，是神命定给他的产业。
