- 20:1 Then the children of Israel, the whole assembly, came to the wilderness of Zin in the first month, and the people stayed at Kadesh; and Miriam died there and was buried there.

正月间，以色列人全会众到了寻的旷野，百姓就住在加低斯；米利暗死在那里，就葬在那里。
- 20:2 And there was no water for the assembly, and they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron.

会众没有水喝，就聚集攻击摩西、亚伦。
- 20:3 And the people contended with Moses and spoke, saying, If only we had expired when our brothers expired before Jehovah!
-
百姓向摩西争闹说，巴不得我们的弟兄死在耶和华面前的时候，我们也死了！
- 20:4 Why then have you brought the congregation of Jehovah into this wilderness for us and our livestock to die there?
-
你们为何把耶和华的会众领到这旷野，使我们和牲畜都死在这里？
- 20:5 Why then did you bring us up out of Egypt, to bring us to this wretched place? It is not a place of grain or figs or vines or pomegranates, and there is not even water to drink.
-
你们为何把我们从埃及带上来，领我们到这坏地方？这地方不好撒种，也没有无花果树、葡萄树、石榴树，甚至没有水喝。
- 20:6 And Moses and Aaron went from before the congregation to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting and fell upon their faces, and the glory of Jehovah appeared to them.

摩西、亚伦离开会众，到会幕门口，面伏于地；耶和华的荣光向他们显现。
- 20:7 Then Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
-
耶和华对摩西说，
- 20:8 Take the rod, and gather the assembly, you and Aaron your brother, and speak to the rock before their eyes, so that it yields its water. Thus you shall bring forth water for them out of the rock and give the assembly and their livestock a drink.

你拿着杖，和你的哥哥亚伦招聚会众，在他们眼前吩咐磐石发出水来；这样，你就为他们使水从磐石中流出来，给会众和他们的牲畜喝。
- 20:9 And Moses took the rod from before Jehovah, as He had commanded him.
-
于是摩西照耶和华所吩咐的，从耶和华面前取了杖去。
- 20:10 And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said to them, Listen now, you rebels: Shall we bring forth water for you out of this rock?
-
摩西、亚伦就招聚会众到磐石前；摩西对他们说，你们这些背叛的人听我说，我们要为你们使水从这磐石中流出来么？
- 20:11 Then Moses lifted up his hand and struck the rock with his rod twice; and abundant water came forth, and the assembly and their livestock drank.

摩西举手，用杖击打磐石两下，就有许多水流出来，会众和他们的牲畜都喝了。
- 20:12 And Jehovah said to Moses and Aaron, Because you did not believe in Me, to sanctify Me in the sight of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.

耶和华对摩西、亚伦说，因为你们不信我，不在以色列人眼前尊我为圣，所以你们必不得领这会众进我所赐给他们的地去。
- 20:13 These are the waters of Meribah, where the children of Israel contended with Jehovah, and He was sanctified among them.
-
这就是米利巴水；以色列人在那里向耶和华争闹，耶和华就在他们中间显为圣。
- 20:14 Now Moses sent messengers from Kadesh to the king of Edom: Thus says your brother Israel, You know all the hardship that has befallen us;
-
摩西从加低斯差遣使者去见以东王，说，你的弟兄以色列人这样说，你知道我们所遭遇的一切艰难，
- 20:15 How our fathers went down to Egypt, and we dwelt in Egypt a long time; and the Egyptians ill-treated us and our fathers;
-
就是我们的列祖如何下到埃及，我们在埃及久住；埃及人如何苦待我们和我们的列祖，
- 20:16 And when we cried to Jehovah, He heard our voice and sent an Angel and brought us forth out of Egypt; and now we are in Kadesh, a city on the edge of your border.
-
我们哀求耶和华的时候，祂听了我们的声音，差遣一位使者把我们从埃及领出来。如今，我们在你边界上的城加低斯。
- 20:17 Please let us pass through your land. We will not pass through field or through vineyard, nor will we drink water from any well; we will go along the King's Highway, not turning aside to the right or to the left, until we pass through your territory.

求你让我们从你的地经过。我们不走田间和葡萄园，也不喝井里的水，只走王道，不偏左右，直到过了你的境界。
- 20:18 But Edom said to him, You shall not pass through my territory, or else I will come out against you with the sword.
-
以东王说，你不可从我的地经过，不然我要带刀出去攻击你。
- 20:19 Then the children of Israel said to him, We will go up by the highway, and if I and my livestock drink some of your water, then I will pay its price. Allow me only this one thing, to pass through on foot.
-
以色列人说，我们要走大道上去；我们和牲畜若喝你的水，必给你价值。不求别的，只求你让我们步行过去。
- 20:20 However he said, You shall not pass through. And Edom came out against him with a large number of people and with a mighty hand.
-
以东王说，你们不可经过；就率领许多人出来，要用强硬的手攻击以色列人。
- 20:21 So Edom refused to give Israel passage through his territory, and Israel turned away from him.
-
这样，以东王不肯让以色列人从他的境界过去；于是他们转去，离开他。
- 20:22 Now when they journeyed from Kadesh, the children of Israel, the whole assembly, came to Mount Hor.
-
以色列人全会众从加低斯起行，到了何珥山。
- 20:23 Then Jehovah spoke to Moses and to Aaron at Mount Hor, on the border of the land of Edom, saying,
-
耶和华在以东地边界的何珥山上对摩西、亚伦说，
- 20:24 Aaron shall be gathered to his people, for he shall not enter into the land which I have given to the children of Israel, because you rebelled against My word at the waters of Meribah.
-
亚伦要归到他本民那里，他必不得进我所赐给以色列人的地，因为在米利巴水的事上，你们违背了我的话。
- 20:25 Take Aaron and Eleazar his son, and bring them up Mount Hor;
-
你带亚伦和他的儿子以利亚撒上何珥山，
- 20:26 And strip Aaron of his garments and put them upon Eleazar his son; so Aaron will be gathered to his people, and will die there.
-
把亚伦的圣衣脱下来，给他儿子以利亚撒穿上；亚伦必死在那里，归他本民。
- 20:27 So Moses did just as Jehovah had commanded, and they went up Mount Hor in the sight of the whole assembly.
-
摩西就照耶和华所吩咐的行，三人当着全会众的眼前上了何珥山。
- 20:28 And when Moses had stripped Aaron of his garments and put them on Eleazar his son, Aaron died there on the top of the mountain. Then Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountain.
-
摩西把亚伦的圣衣脱下来，给他的儿子以利亚撒穿上，亚伦就死在山顶那里。于是摩西和以利亚撒下了山。
- 20:29 And when the whole assembly saw that Aaron had expired, all the house of Israel wept for Aaron thirty days.

全会众见亚伦已经死了，以色列全家便为亚伦哀哭了三十天。
