- 25:1 While Israel dwelt in Shittim, the people began to commit fornication with the daughters of Moab.

以色列人住在什亭，百姓与摩押女子行起淫乱。
- 25:2 For they invited the people to the sacrifices of their gods, and the people ate and bowed down to their gods.

这些女子邀百姓来，给她们的神献祭，百姓就吃她们的祭物，跪拜她们的神。
- 25:3 And Israel joined itself to Baal-peor, and the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Israel.
-
以色列人与巴力毗珥连合，耶和华的怒气就向以色列人发作。
- 25:4 And Jehovah said to Moses, Take all the leaders of the people and hang them up to Jehovah before the sun, so that the fierce anger of Jehovah may turn away from Israel.

耶和华对摩西说，将百姓中所有的族长，在我耶和华面前对着日头悬挂，使我耶和华的烈怒可以从以色列人转消。
- 25:5 And Moses said to the judges of Israel, Each of you slay his men who have joined themselves to Baal-peor.

于是摩西对以色列的审判官说，凡属你们的人，有与巴力毗珥连合的，你们各人要把他们杀了。
- 25:6 Just then one of the children of Israel came and brought a Midianite woman to his brothers in the sight of Moses and in the sight of the whole assembly of the children of Israel, while they were weeping at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting.

摩西和以色列人全会众正在会幕门口哭泣的时候，有以色列人中的一个人，竟然当他们眼前，带着一个米甸女人到他弟兄们那里。
- 25:7 And when Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from the midst of the assembly, and took a spear in his hand,

祭司亚伦的孙子，以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈看见了，就从会中起来，手里拿着枪，
- 25:8 And went after the man of Israel into the tent and pierced both of them, the man of Israel and the woman through her stomach. So the plague among the children of Israel was stopped.

跟随那以色列人进内棚去，将以色列人和那女人由腹中刺透。这样，在以色列人中的瘟疫就止息了。
- 25:9 And those who died by the plague were twenty-four thousand.

那时遭瘟疫死的，有二万四千人。
- 25:10 Then Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
-
耶和华对摩西说，
- 25:11 Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, has turned My wrath away from the children of Israel, in that he was jealous with My jealousy among them, so that I did not consume the children of Israel in My jealousy.

祭司亚伦的孙子，以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈，使我的怒气从以色列人转消；因他在他们中间，以我的妒忌妒忌他们，使我不在妒忌中把他们除灭。
- 25:12 Therefore say, I now give him My covenant of peace,
-
因此，你要说，我将我平安的约赐给他；
- 25:13 And it shall be to him and to his seed after him, the covenant of an everlasting priesthood, because he was jealous for his God and made expiation for the children of Israel.

这约要给他和他的后裔，作永远祭司职任的约；因他为神起了妒忌，为以色列人遮罪。
- 25:14 Now the name of the slain man of Israel, who was slain with the Midianite woman, was Zimri the son of Salu, a leader of a father's household among the Simeonites.

那与米甸女人一同被杀的以色列人，名叫心利，是撒路的儿子，是西缅一个宗族的首领。
- 25:15 And the name of the Midianite woman who was slain was Cozbi the daughter of Zur, head of the people of a father's household in Midian.

那被杀的米甸女人，名叫哥斯比，是苏珥的女儿；这苏珥是米甸一个宗族的首领。
- 25:16 Then Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

耶和华对摩西说，
- 25:17 Harass the Midianites and strike them;
-
你要扰害米甸人，击杀他们；
- 25:18 For they have harassed you with their deception with which they have deceived you in the matter of Peor and in the matter of Cozbi, the daughter of the prince of Midian, their sister, who was slain on the day of the plague in the matter of Peor.

因为他们用诡计扰害你们，在毗珥的事上，并在他们的姊妹，米甸首领的女儿哥斯比的事上，用这诡计诱惑了你们；这哥斯比，当瘟疫流行的日子，因毗珥的事被杀了。
