8:1 And at the end of the twenty years in which Solomon had built the house of Jehovah and his own house,
所罗门建造耶和华的殿和自己的宫，共用了二十年，完毕以后，
8:2 He built the cities which Huram had given to him and settled the children of Israel there.
所罗门修筑户兰送给他的那些城邑，使以色列人住在那里。
8:3 Then Solomon went to Hamath- zobah and overcame it.
所罗门往哈马琐巴去，征服了那地方。
8:4 And he built Tadmor in the wilderness and all the storage cities which he built in Hamath.
所罗门建造旷野里的达莫，又建造哈马所有的积货城；
8:5 And he built upper Beth-horon and lower Beth-horon, fortified cities with walls, gates, and bars,
又建造上伯和仑、下伯和仑作为坚固城，都有墙，有门，有闩；
8:6 And Baalath and all the storage cities that Solomon had, even all the cities for the chariots, and the cities for the horsemen and all that Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem and in Lebanon and in all the land of his dominion.
8:7 All the people who were left of the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, who were not of Israel,
至于所剩下，属于赫人、亚摩利人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人，不属于以色列人的众民，
8:8 From their descendants who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel had not destroyed utterly, these Solomon levied as forced labor, as they are unto this day.
他们的子孙在他们之后余留在那地，以色列人未曾将他们灭尽，所罗门就征召他们作服苦役的人，直到今日。
8:9 But Solomon did not make slaves of the children of Israel for his work, for they were the men of war and the officers over his captains and the officers over his chariots and his horsemen.
惟有以色列人，所罗门不使他们当奴仆为他作工，乃是作战士，作他军官的统领，和他的车兵长、马兵长。
8:10 And these were the chief of the officers of King Solomon, two hundred fifty, who ruled over the people.
所罗门王有二百五十督工的官长，监管作工的人。
8:11 Then Solomon brought up Pharaoh's daughter from the city of David into the house which he had built for her; for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David the king of Israel, for the places where the Ark of Jehovah has entered are holy.
8:12 Then Solomon offered up burnt offerings to Jehovah on the altar of Jehovah which he had built before the portico,
那时，所罗门在耶和华的坛上，就是在廊子前他所筑的坛上，向耶和华献燔祭；
8:13 Even as required daily, offering them up according to the commandment of Moses, on the Sabbaths and on the new moons and on the appointed feasts three times in a year, at the Feast of Unleavened Bread and at the Feast of Weeks and at the Feast of Tabernac
8:14 And according to the ordinance of David his father, he appointed the divisions of the priests for their service, and the Levites for their charges to praise and to minister before the priests even as required daily, and the gatekeepers by their divisions at every gate; for thus was the commandment of David the man of God.
8:15 And they did not turn aside from the commandment of the king concerning the priests and the Levites concerning any matter and concerning the treasuries.
王所吩咐众祭司和利未人的，无论是办任何事或掌管府库，他们都不偏违。
8:16 So all the work of Solomon was carried out, from the day of the foundation of the house of Jehovah even until its completion. Thus the house of Jehovah was finished.
所罗门一切的工，从耶和华殿立根基的日子，直到建成，都顺利进行。这样，耶和华的殿就完成了。
8:17 Then Solomon went to Ezion-geber and to Eloth on the shore of the sea, in the land of Edom.
那时，所罗门往以东地靠近海边的以旬迦别和以禄去。
8:18 And Huram sent him ships by his servants, and servants who knew the sea; and they went with the servants of Solomon to Ophir and took four hundred fifty talents of gold from there and brought it to King Solomon.
