• 14:1　And Abijah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David. And Asa his son reigned in his place. In his days the land was quiet for ten years.
  • 亚比雅与他列祖同睡，人把他葬在大卫城里。他儿子亚撒接续他作王。亚撒在位的日子，那地太平十年。
  • 14:2　And Asa did what was good and upright in the sight of Jehovah his God;
  • 亚撒行耶和华他神眼中看为善为正的事，
  • 14:3　For he removed the foreign altars and the high places and smashed the pillars and hewed down the Asherahs,
  • 除掉外邦神的坛和邱坛，打碎柱像，砍下木像，
  • 14:4　And he commanded Judah to pursue Jehovah, the God of their fathers, and perform the law and the commandment.
  • 吩咐犹大人寻求耶和华他们列祖的神，遵行祂的律法和诫命。
  • 14:5　And from all the cities of Judah he removed the high places and the incense altars. And the kingdom was quiet before him.
  • 他从犹大各城邑除掉邱坛和香坛。在他面前国享太平。
  • 14:6　And he built fortress cities in Judah; for the land was quiet and there was no war against him during those years, because Jehovah had given him rest.
  • 他在犹大建造了几座坚固城。那地太平，那些年间没有战争，因为耶和华使他得安息。
  • 14:7　For he said to Judah, Let us build these cities and put around them walls with towers, gates, and bars. The land is still before us because we have pursued Jehovah our God; we have pursued Him, and He has given us rest all around. So they built and prospe
  • 他对犹大人说，我们要建造这些城邑，四围筑墙，盖楼，安门，作闩；地还属我们，是因我们寻求耶和华我们的神；我们既寻求祂，祂就使我们四围得安息。于是他们建造城邑，诸事亨通。
  • 14:8　And Asa had an army of three hundred thousand from Judah who bore shields and spears and of two hundred eighty thousand from Benjamin who bore hand shields and drew bows; all these were mighty men of valor.
  • 亚撒的军兵，出自犹大的，有拿挡牌、拿枪的三十万人，出自便雅悯的，有拿盾牌、拉弓的二十八万人；这些都是大能的勇士。
  • 14:9　And Zerah the Cushite went out to them with an army of one million men and three hundred chariots, and he came to Mareshah.
  • 古实人谢拉率领军兵一百万，战车三百辆，出来攻击犹大人，来到玛利沙。
  • 14:10　And Asa went out before him and set the battle in array in the valley of Zephathah at Mareshah.
  • 亚撒出去迎战，他们就在玛利沙的洗法谷摆阵。
  • 14:11　And Asa called out to Jehovah his God and said, O Jehovah, there is none besides You to help us, between the mighty and those without strength. Help us, O Jehovah our God, for we trust in You, and in Your name we have come against this multitude. O Jehovah, You are our God; do not let mortal man prevail against You.
  • 亚撒呼求耶和华他的神，说，耶和华阿，我们或是有能，或是无力，除你以外，没有谁能帮助我们。耶和华我们的神阿，求你帮助我们，因为我们信靠你，在你的名里来攻击这军众。耶和华阿，你是我们的神，不要让人胜过你。
  • 14:12　And Jehovah struck the Cushites before Asa and before Judah, and the Cushites fled.
  • 于是耶和华在亚撒和犹大人面前击败古实人，古实人就逃跑了。
  • 14:13　And Asa and the people who were with him pursued them as far as Gerar; and so many of the Cushites fell that they could not recover, for they were shattered before Jehovah and before His army. And they carried away very much spoil.
  • 亚撒和跟随他的百姓追赶他们，直到基拉耳；古实人倒毙的甚多，不能再强盛，因为他们溃败在耶和华与祂军兵面前。犹大人就夺了许多财物，
  • 14:14　And they struck all the cities surrounding Gerar, for the fear of Jehovah was upon them. And they plundered all the cities, for there was much plunder in them.
  • 又击破基拉耳四围的一切城邑，因为耶和华使其中的人都甚恐惧。犹大人又将所有的城掠夺一空，因其中可掠夺的财物甚多。
  • 14:15　And they also struck the cattle tents and carried away sheep in abundance and camels, and they returned to Jerusalem.
  • 他们又击破群畜的棚，夺取许多的羊和骆驼，就回耶路撒冷去了。
