• 25:1　Amaziah was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Jehoaddan from Jerusalem.
  • 亚玛谢登基的时候年二十五岁，在耶路撒冷作王二十九年；他母亲名叫约耶但，是耶路撒冷人。
  • 25:2　And he did what was right in the sight of Jehovah, but not with a perfect heart.
  • 亚玛谢行耶和华眼中看为正的事，只是心不纯全。
  • 25:3　And when the kingdom was firmly in his control, he slew those servants who had struck down his father the king;
  • 国在他手中一坚定，他就把杀他父王的臣仆杀了；
  • 25:4　But their children he did not put to death, but acted according to what is written in the law in the book of Moses, where Jehovah commanded, saying, Fathers shall not be put to death because of their children, nor shall children be put to death because of their fathers; but every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
  • 但他没有将他们的儿子处死，是照摩西书上律法所写，耶和华所吩咐的，说，父亲不可因儿子的缘故被处死，儿子也不可因父亲的缘故被处死；各人要因自己的罪被处死。
  • 25:5　And Amaziah gathered Judah together and arranged them according to the fathers' houses, by captains of thousands and by captains of hundreds, throughout all Judah and Benjamin. And he numbered them from twenty years old and upward and found them to be three hundred thousand chosen men able to go out to war, who could handle spear and shield.
  • 亚玛谢招聚犹大人，按着全犹大和便雅悯的宗族，设立千夫长、百夫长，又数点他们，从二十岁以上，能拿枪拿盾牌出去打仗的精兵，共有三十万；
  • 25:6　He also hired from Israel one hundred thousand mighty men of valor for one hundred talents of silver.
  • 又用银子一百他连得，从以色列招募了十万大能的勇士。
  • 25:7　But a man of God came to him, saying, O king, do not let the army of Israel go out with you, for Jehovah is not with Israel, not with any of the children of Ephraim.
  • 有一个神人来见亚玛谢，说，王阿，不要让以色列的军兵与你同去，因为耶和华不与以色列人，不与任何以法莲的子孙同在。
  • 25:8　Rather go by yourself and do it; be strong for the battle. Otherwise God will cast you down before your enemies, for in God there is power to help or cast down.
  • 你不如自己去打仗罢；当奋勇争战。不然神必使你倾败在敌人面前，因为神有能力帮助人得胜，也有能力使人倾败。
  • 25:9　And Amaziah said to the man of God, And what shall be done with the hundred talents of silver, which I have given to the company of Israel? And the man of God said, Jehovah can give you much more than this.
  • 亚玛谢问神人说，我给了以色列军兵的一百他连得银子怎么样呢？神人说，耶和华能把比这更多的赐给你。
  • 25:10　So Amaziah separated them (the company that had come to him from Ephraim) and let them go to their own place. And their anger was greatly kindled against Judah, and they returned to their place in fierce anger.
  • 于是亚玛谢将从以法莲来的军兵分别出来，叫他们回自己的地方去。故此，他们甚恼怒犹大人，气忿忿的回自己的地方去了。
  • 25:11　And Amaziah strengthened himself and led forth his people. And he went to the Valley of Salt and struck down ten thousand of the children of Seir;
  • 亚玛谢壮起胆来，率领他的民到盐谷，杀了西珥人一万。
  • 25:12　And the children of Judah captured ten thousand alive. And they brought them to the top of Sela and cast them down from the top of Sela, so that all of them were dashed to pieces.
  • 犹大人又生擒了一万人，带到西拉的山崖顶，从那里把他们扔下去，以致他们都摔得粉身碎骨。
  • 25:13　But the men of the company whom Amaziah had sent back from going into battle with him raided the cities of Judah, from Samaria to Beth-horon; and they struck down three thousand of them and took much spoil.
  • 但亚玛谢所打发回去，不许一同出征的那些军兵攻打犹大诸城，从撒玛利亚直到伯和仑，杀了他们中间三千人，掠夺了许多财物。
  • 25:14　And after Amaziah came from striking the Edomites, he brought the gods of the children of Seir and set them up as his gods; and he worshipped before them and burned incense to them.
  • 亚玛谢杀了以东人回来时，也把西珥人的神像带回，立为自己的神，在它们面前叩拜烧香。
  • 25:15　And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Amaziah; and He sent a prophet to him and said to him, Why do you seek after the gods of the people who did not deliver their own people from your hand?
  • 耶和华的怒气向亚玛谢发作，就差一个申言者去见他，说，这民的神不能救自己的民脱离你的手，你为何寻求它们呢？
  • 25:16　And when he spoke to him, the king said to him, Have we made you a counselor to the king? Stop; why should you be struck down? So the prophet stopped and said, I know that God has determined to destroy you, for you have done this and have not listened to my counsel.
  • 申言者与王说话的时候，王对他说，我们何曾立你作王的谋士呢？你住口罢；为何要挨打呢？申言者就止住了；又说，我知道神定意要灭你，因为你行这事，不听从我出的主意。
  • 25:17　Then Amaziah the king of Judah took counsel and sent word to Joash the son of Jehoahaz, the son of Jehu, the king of Israel, saying, Come, let us confront each other.
  • 犹大王亚玛谢与群臣商议，就差遣人去见耶户的孙子，约哈斯的儿子以色列王约阿施，说，你来，我们在战场上彼此见面。
  • 25:18　And Joash the king of Israel sent word to Amaziah the king of Judah, saying, The thornbush that was in Lebanon sent word to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying, Give your daughter to my son as his wife; but a wild beast that was in Lebanon passed by and trampled the thornbush.
  • 以色列王约阿施差遣人去见犹大王亚玛谢，说，利巴嫩的蒺藜差遣人去见利巴嫩的香柏树，说，将你的女儿给我儿子为妻；然而利巴嫩有一只野兽经过，把蒺藜践踏了。
  • 25:19　You say that you have just struck Edom, and your heart exalts you to glorify yourself. Remain now in your home; why should you stir up trouble so that you and Judah with you fall?
  • 你说，看哪，我打败了以东人；你就心里高傲，自以为荣。如今你在家里安居就罢了；为何要惹祸，使自己和犹大国一同败亡呢？
  • 25:20　But Amaziah would not listen, for it was of God, so that He might deliver them into his hand, for they had sought after the gods of Edom.
  • 亚玛谢却不肯听；这是出于神，好将他们交在敌人手里，因为他们寻求以东的神。
  • 25:21　So Jehoash the king of Israel went up, and he and Amaziah the king of Judah confronted each other in Beth-shemesh, which belongs to Judah.
  • 于是以色列王约阿施上来，在属犹大的伯示麦，与犹大王亚玛谢在战场上彼此见面。
  • 25:22　And Judah was defeated before Israel, and they fled, each man to his tent.
  • 犹大人败在以色列人面前，各人逃往自己的帐棚去了。
  • 25:23　And Joash the king of Israel captured Amaziah the king of Judah the son of Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz in Beth- shemesh, and he brought him to Jerusalem and tore down the wall of Jerusalem from the gate of Ephraim to the Corner Gate, four hundred cubits.
  • 以色列王约阿施在伯示麦擒住约哈斯的孙子，约阿施的儿子犹大王亚玛谢，将他带到耶路撒冷，又拆毁耶路撒冷的城墙，从以法莲门直到角门，共四百肘。
  • 25:24　And he took all the gold and silver and all the vessels that were found in the house of God with Obed-edom and the treasures of the king's house as well as hostages, and returned to Samaria.
  • 他又将俄别以东所看守神殿里的一切金银和器皿，与王宫里的财宝，都拿了去，并带人去为质，就回撒玛利亚去了。
  • 25:25　And Amaziah the son of Joash, the king of Judah, lived fifteen years after the death of Joash the son of Jehoahaz, the king of Israel.
  • 以色列王约哈斯的儿子约阿施死后，犹大王约阿施的儿子亚玛谢又活了十五年。
  • 25:26　And the rest of the acts of Amaziah, the first and the last, are they not there, written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel?
  • 亚玛谢其余的事，自始至终，岂不都写在犹大和以色列诸王记上么？
  • 25:27　And from the time that Amaziah turned away from following Jehovah, they formed a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem, and he fled to Lachish; and they sent men after him to Lachish, and they killed him there.
  • 自从亚玛谢转离而不跟从耶和华之后，在耶路撒冷有人结党背叛他，他就逃到拉吉；叛党却打发人追到拉吉，在那里将他杀了。
  • 25:28　And they brought him on horses and buried him with his fathers in the city of Judah.
  • 人就用马将他的尸首驮回去，葬在犹大京城，与他的列祖在一起。
