- 21:1 And Jehovah visited Sarah as he had said, and Jehovah did to Sarah as He had promised.

耶和华按先前的话眷顾撒拉，便照祂所应许的给撒拉成就。
- 21:2 And Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the appointed time of which God had spoken to him.
-
当亚伯拉罕年老的时候，撒拉怀了孕；到神和亚伯拉罕约定的日期，就给亚伯拉罕生了一个儿子。
- 21:3 And Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him, whom Sarah bore to him, Isaac.
-
亚伯拉罕为撒拉给他生的儿子起名叫以撒。
- 21:4 And Abraham circumcised Isaac his son when he was eight days old, as God had commanded him.
-
以撒生下来第八日，亚伯拉罕照着神所吩咐的，给他的儿子以撒行了割礼。
- 21:5 And Abraham was a hundred years old when Isaac his son was born to him.
-
他儿子以撒出生的时候，亚伯拉罕年一百岁。
- 21:6 And Sarah said, God has made me laugh; everyone who hears will laugh with me.
-
撒拉说，神使我欢笑，凡听见的必与我一同欢笑；
- 21:7 And she said, Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have borne him a son in his old age.
-
又说，谁能预先对亚伯拉罕说，撒拉要乳养儿女呢？然而在他年老的时候，我竟给他生了一个儿子。
- 21:8 And the child grew and was weaned. And Abraham made a great feast on the day that Isaac was weaned.
-
孩子渐长，就断了奶。以撒断奶的日子，亚伯拉罕设摆盛大的筵席。
- 21:9 And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, whom she had borne to Abraham, mocking.
-
当时，撒拉看见埃及人夏甲给亚伯拉罕所生的儿子戏笑，
- 21:10 So she said to Abraham, Cast out this maidservant and her son, for the son of this maidservant shall not inherit with my son Isaac.
-
就对亚伯拉罕说，你把这使女和她儿子赶出去，因为这使女的儿子不可与我的儿子以撒，一同承受产业。
- 21:11 And the matter displeased Abraham greatly on account of his son.
-
亚伯拉罕因他儿子的缘故甚是愁烦。
- 21:12 And God said to Abraham, Do not be displeased on account of the boy and on account of your maidservant. Whatever Sarah says to you, listen to her voice, for in Isaac shall your seed be called.
-
神对亚伯拉罕说，你不必为这童子和你的使女愁烦。凡撒拉对你说的话，你都要听；因为从以撒生的，才要称为你的后裔。
- 21:13 And of the son of the maidservant I will also make a nation, because he is your seed.
-
至于使女的儿子，我也必使他成为一国，因为他是你的后裔。
- 21:14 And Abraham rose up early in the morning and took bread and a waterskin full of water and gave them to Hagar, putting them on her shoulder, and gave her the child and sent her away. And she departed and wandered in the wilderness of Beer-sheba.

亚伯拉罕清早起来，拿饼和一皮袋水，给了夏甲，搭在她的肩上，又把孩子交给她，打发她走。夏甲就走了，在别是巴的旷野走迷了路。
- 21:15 When the water in the waterskin was finished, she cast the child under one of the bushes.
-
皮袋的水用尽了，夏甲就把孩子撇在一棵小树下，
- 21:16 And she went and sat herself down opposite him, a fair distance away, about a bowshot away, for she said, Do not let me look upon the death of the child. And as she sat opposite him, she lifted up her voice and wept.
-
自己走开约有一箭之远，相对而坐，说，我不忍见孩子死，就相对而坐，放声大哭。
- 21:17 And God heard the voice of the boy. And the Angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven and said to her, What troubles you, Hagar? Do not be afraid, for God has heard the voice of the boy where he is.

神听见童子的声音；神的使者从天上呼叫夏甲说，夏甲，你怎么了？不要害怕，神已经听见童子的声音了。
- 21:18 Rise up; lift up the boy, and hold him with your hand, for I will make him a great nation.
-
起来，把童子扶起来牵着；我必使他成为大国。
- 21:19 And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water. And she went and filled the waterskin with water and gave the boy a drink.
-
神开了夏甲的眼睛，她就看见一口水井，便去将皮袋盛满了水，给童子喝。
- 21:20 And God was with the boy, and he grew. And he dwelt in the wilderness and became an archer.
-
神与童子同在，他就渐长，住在旷野，成了弓箭手。
- 21:21 And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran. And his mother took a wife for him from the land of Egypt.
-
他住在巴兰的旷野；他母亲从埃及地给他娶了一个妻子。
- 21:22 And at that time Abimelech and Phicol the captain of his army spoke to Abraham, saying, God is with you in all that you do.
-
当那时候，亚比米勒同他军长非各对亚伯拉罕说，在你所作的一切事上，神都与你同在。
- 21:23 Now therefore swear to me here by God that you will not deal falsely with me or with my offspring or with my posterity. According to the kindness that I have shown to you, you shall do to me and to the land in which you have sojourned.

我愿你如今在这里指着神对我起誓，不要以诡诈待我与我的子孙后代。我怎样以恩慈待你，你也要照样待我，与你所寄居这地的民。
- 21:24 And Abraham said, I swear it.
-
亚伯拉罕说，我愿意起誓。
- 21:25 And Abraham confronted Abimelech concerning the well of water which Abimelech's servants had taken by force.
-
从前，亚比米勒的仆人霸占了一口水井，亚伯拉罕为这事指责亚比米勒。
- 21:26 And Abimelech said, I do not know who has done this thing; and you did not tell me about it, nor have I even heard of it until today.
-
亚比米勒说，谁作这事，我不知道；你也没有告诉我，今日我才听见了。
- 21:27 And Abraham took sheep and oxen and gave them to Abimelech. And the two of them made a covenant.
-
亚伯拉罕把羊和牛给了亚比米勒，二人就彼此立约。
- 21:28 And Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock by themselves.
-
亚伯拉罕把羊群中的七只母羊羔，另放在一处。
- 21:29 And Abimelech said to Abraham, What is the meaning of these seven ewe lambs which you have set by themselves?
-
亚比米勒问亚伯拉罕说，你把这七只母羊羔另放在一处，是什么意思？
- 21:30 And he said, These seven ewe lambs you shall take from my hand, that it may be a witness for me that I dug this well.
-
他说，你要从我手里接受这七只母羊羔，作我挖这口井的证据。
- 21:31 Therefore he called that place Beer-sheba, because there the two of them swore an oath.
-
所以他称那地方为别是巴，因为他们二人在那里起了誓。
- 21:32 So they made a covenant at Beer-sheba; and Abimelech rose up with Phicol the captain of his host, and they returned into the land of the Philistines.
-
他们在别是巴立了约。亚比米勒就同他军长非各起身，回非利士人的地去了。
- 21:33 And Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beer-sheba, and there he called on the name of Jehovah, the Eternal God.
-
亚伯拉罕在别是巴栽了一棵垂丝柳树，又在那里呼求耶和华永远之神的名。
- 21:34 And Abraham sojourned in the land of the Philistines many days.
-
亚伯拉罕在非利士人的地寄居了多日。
