36:1　Now these are the generations of Esau (that is, Edom).
以扫就是以东，他的后代记在下面：
36:2　Esau took his wives from the daughters of Canaan: Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite; and Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite;
以扫娶迦南的女子为妻，就是赫人以伦的女儿亚大，和希未人祭便的孙女，亚拿的女儿阿何利巴玛，
36:3　And Basemath Ishmael's daughter, the sister of Nebaioth.
又娶了以实玛利的女儿，尼拜约的妹妹巴实抹。
36:4　And Adah bore Eliphaz to Esau, and Basemath bore Reuel,
亚大给以扫生了以利法；巴实抹生了流珥；
36:5　And Oholibamah bore Jeush and Jalam and Korah. These are the sons of Esau, who were born to him in the land of Canaan.
阿何利巴玛生了耶乌施、雅兰、可拉。这些都是以扫的儿子，是在迦南地生的。
36:6　And Esau took his wives and his sons and his daughters and all his household and his livestock and all his cattle and all his possessions which he had acquired in the land of Canaan, and he went into a land away from his brother Jacob.
以扫带着他的妻子、儿女、与家中一切的人口，并他的牛羊、牲畜、和一切财物，就是他在迦南地所得的，往别地去，离开了他的弟弟雅各。
36:7　For their property was too great for them to dwell together, and the land where they sojourned could not sustain them because of their livestock.
因为二人的家产甚多，使他们不能同住一起，他们的群畜太多，寄居的地容不下他们。
36:8　And Esau dwelt in Mount Seir; Esau is Edom.
于是以扫住在西珥山；以扫就是以东。
36:9　And these are the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in Mount Seir:
以扫是西珥山以东人的始祖，他的后代记在下面。
36:10　These are the names of Esau's sons: Eliphaz the son of Esau's wife Adah, Reuel the son of Esau's wife Basemath.
以扫众子的名字如下：以扫的妻子亚大生以利法；以扫的妻子巴实抹生流珥。
36:11　And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam and Kenaz.
以利法的儿子是提幔、阿抹、洗玻、迦坦、基纳斯。
36:12　And Timna was a concubine to Eliphaz Esau's son, and she bore Amalek to Eliphaz. These are the sons of Esau's wife Adah.
亭纳是以扫儿子以利法的妾；她给以利法生了亚玛力。这些是以扫妻子亚大的子孙。
36:13　And these are the sons of Reuel: Nahath and Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah. These were the sons of Esau's wife Basemath.
流珥的儿子是拿哈、谢拉、沙玛、米撒。这些是以扫妻子巴实抹的子孙。
36:14　And these were the sons of Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon, Esau's wife: And she bore to Esau Jeush and Jalam and Korah.
以扫的妻子阿何利巴玛是祭便的孙女，亚拿的女儿；她给以扫生了耶乌施、雅兰、可拉。
36:15　These are the clans of the sons of Esau. The sons of Eliphaz the firstborn of Esau: Clan Teman, Clan Omar, Clan Zepho, Clan Kenaz,
以扫子孙中的各族记在下面：以扫的长子以利法的子孙中，有提幔族、阿抹族、洗玻族、基纳斯族、
36:16　Clan Korah, Clan Gatam, Clan Amalek; these are the clans of Eliphaz in the land of Edom. These are the sons of Adah.
可拉族、迦坦族、亚玛力族。这些是在以东地从以利法所出的各族，都是亚大的子孙。
36:17　And these are the sons of Reuel, Esau's son: Clan Nahath, Clan Zerah, Clan Shammah, Clan Mizzah; these are the clans of Reuel in the land of Edom. These are the sons of Basemath, Esau's wife.
以扫的儿子流珥的子孙中，有拿哈族、谢拉族、沙玛族、米撒族。这些是在以东地从流珥所出的各族，都是以扫妻子巴实抹的子孙。
36:18　And these are the sons of Oholibamah, Esau's wife: Clan Jeush, Clan Jalam, Clan Korah. These are the clans of Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau's wife.
以扫妻子阿何利巴玛的子孙中，有耶乌施族、雅兰族、可拉族。这些是从以扫的妻子，亚拿的女儿，阿何利巴玛所出的各族。
36:19　These are the sons of Esau (that is, Edom), and these are their clans.
以上的各族都是以扫的子孙；以扫就是以东。
36:20　These are the sons of Seir the Horite, the inhabitants of the land: Lotan and Shobal and Zibeon and Anah
那地原有的居民，何利人西珥的子孙记在下面，就是罗坍、朔巴、祭便、亚拿、
36:21　And Dishon and Ezer and Dishan; these are the clans of the Horites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom.
底顺、以察、底珊。这些是从以东地西珥的子孙，何利人中所出的族长。
36:22　And the sons of Lotan were Hori and Heman; and Lotan's sister was Timna.
罗坍的儿子是何利、希幔；罗坍的妹妹是亭纳。
36:23　And these are the sons of Shobal: Alvan and Manahath and Ebal, Shepho and Onam.
朔巴的儿子是亚勒文、玛拿辖、以巴录、示玻、阿南。
36:24　And these are the sons of Zibeon: Aiah and Anah. This is the Anah who found the hot springs in the wilderness as he fed the donkeys of Zibeon his father.
祭便的儿子是亚雅、亚拿。当时在旷野放他父亲祭便的驴，发现温泉的，就是这亚拿。
36:25　And these are the children of Anah: Dishon and Oholibamah the daughter of Anah.
亚拿的儿子是底顺；亚拿的女儿是阿何利巴玛。
36:26　And these are the sons of Dishon: Hemdan and Eshban and Ithran and Cheran.
底顺的儿子是欣但、伊是班、益兰、基兰。
36:27　These are the sons of Ezer: Bilhan and Zaavan and Akan.
以察的儿子是辟罕、撒番、亚干。
36:28　These are the sons of Dishan: Uz and Aran.
底珊的儿子是乌斯、亚兰。
36:29　These are the clans of the Horites: Clan Lotan, Clan Shobal, Clan Zibeon, Clan Anah,
从何利人所出的各族记在下面，就是罗坍族、朔巴族、祭便族、亚拿族、
36:30　Clan Dishon, Clan Ezer, Clan Dishan. These are the clans of the Horites, according to their clans in the land of Seir.
底顺族、以察族、底珊族。这些是从何利人所出的各族，都在西珥地，各按各族。
36:31　And these are the kings who reigned in the land of Edom before a king of the children of Israel reigned:
以色列人未有君王治理以前，在以东地作王的记在下面。
36:32　Now Bela the son of Beor reigned in Edom, and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
比珥的儿子比拉在以东作王，他的京城名叫亭哈巴。
36:33　And Bela died, and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his place.
比拉死了，波斯拉人谢拉的儿子约巴接续他作王。
36:34　And Jobab died, and Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his place.
约巴死了，提幔地的人户珊接续他作王。
36:35　And Husham died; and Hadad the son of Bedad, who struck Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his place; and the name of his city was Avith.
户珊死了，比达的儿子哈达接续他作王；这哈达就是在摩押田野击杀米甸人的，他的京城名叫亚未得。
36:36　And Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his place.
哈达死了，玛士利加人桑拉接续他作王。
36:37　And Samlah died, and Shaul of Rehoboth by the River reigned in his place.
桑拉死了，大河边的利河伯人扫罗接续他作王。
36:38　And Shaul died, and Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his place.
扫罗死了，亚革波的儿子巴勒哈南接续他作王。
36:39　And Baal-hanan the son of Achbor died, and Hadar reigned in his place. And the name of his city was Pau; and his wife's name was Mehetabel the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.
亚革波的儿子巴勒哈南死了，哈达接续他作王，他的京城名叫巴乌；他的妻子名叫米希他别，是米萨合的孙女，玛特列的女儿。
36:40　And these are the names of the clans of Esau, according to their families, according to their places, by their names: Clan Timna, Clan Alvah, Clan Jetheth,
从以扫所出的各族，按着他们的家族、地方，名字记在下面，就是亭纳族、亚勒瓦族、耶帖族、
36:41　Clan Oholibamah, Clan Elah, Clan Pinon,
阿何利巴玛族、以拉族、比嫩族、
36:42　Clan Kenaz, Clan Teman, Clan Mibzar,
基纳斯族、提幔族、米比萨族、
36:43　Clan Magdiel, Clan Iram. These are the clans of Edom according to their habitations in the land of their possession. This is Esau the father of the Edomites.
玛基叠族、以兰族。这些是以东人在所得为业的地上，按着他们住处的各族。以东人的始祖就是以扫。
