- 48:1 Now after these things Joseph was told, Your father is now sick. So he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.

这些事以后，有人告诉约瑟说，你的父亲病了。他就带着两个儿子玛拿西和以法莲同去。
- 48:2 And someone told Jacob and said, Your son Joseph is now coming to you. So Israel strengthened himself and sat up on his bed.

有人告诉雅各说，请看，你儿子约瑟到你这里来了。以色列就勉强在床上坐起来。
- 48:3 And Jacob said to Joseph, The All-sufficient God appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan and blessed me.

雅各对约瑟说，全足的神曾在迦南地的路斯向我显现，赐福与我，
- 48:4 And He said to me, Behold, I am going to make you fruitful and multiply you, and I will make of you a company of peoples and will give this land to your seed after you for an everlasting possession.

对我说，我必使你繁衍增多，成为多族，又要把这地赐给你的后裔，永远为业。
- 48:5 And now your two sons, who were born to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you in Egypt, are mine; Ephraim and Manasseh will be mine, as Reuben and Simeon are.

我未到埃及见你之前，你在埃及地所生的两个儿子是我的；以法莲和玛拿西是我的，正如流便和西缅是我的一样。
- 48:6 And your offspring whom you beget after them will be yours; they will be called by the name of their brothers in their inheritance.

你在他们以后所生的就是你的，他们可以归于他们哥哥们的名下承继产业。
- 48:7 And as for me, when I came from Paddan, Rachel died to my sorrow in the land of Canaan on the way, while there was still some distance to go to Ephrath; and I buried her there on the way to Ephrath (that is, Bethlehem).

至于我，我从巴旦来的时候，在迦南地的路上，离以法他还有一段路程，拉结在我悲痛中死了；我就把她葬在通往以法他的路旁(以法他就是伯利恒。)
- 48:8 And when Israel saw Joseph's sons, he said, Who are these?

以色列看见约瑟的两个儿子，就说，这两个是谁？
- 48:9 And Joseph said to his father, They are my sons, whom God has given to me here. And he said, Bring them to me, that I may bless them.

约瑟对他父亲说，他们是神在这里赐给我的儿子。以色列说，请你领他们到我跟前，我要给他们祝福。
- 48:10 Now the eyes of Israel were dim with age, and he could not see. So Joseph brought them near to him, and he kissed them and embraced them.

以色列年纪老迈，眼睛昏花，不能看见；约瑟领他们挨近他，他就和他们亲嘴，抱着他们。
- 48:11 And Israel said to Joseph, I never expected to see your face, and now God has let me see your seed also.

以色列对约瑟说，我想不到得见你的面，不料，神又使我得见你的后裔。
- 48:12 And Joseph brought them out from between his knees and bowed himself with his face to the ground.

约瑟把两个儿子从以色列两膝中领出来，自己面伏于地下拜。
- 48:13 And Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right hand toward Israel's left hand and Manasseh in his left hand toward Israel's right hand, and brought them near to him.

随后约瑟又拉着他们两个，以法莲在他的右手里，对着以色列的左手；玛拿西在他的左手里，对着以色列的右手；领他们挨近以色列。
- 48:14 But Israel stretched out his right hand and laid it upon Ephraim's head-although he was the younger-and his left hand upon Manasseh's head, guiding his hands with insight, even though Manasseh was the firstborn.

但以色列伸出右手来，按在以法莲的头上(以法莲乃是次子，)又剪搭过左手来，按在玛拿西的头上(玛拿西原是长子。)
- 48:15 And he blessed Joseph and said, The God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, The God who has shepherded me all my life to this day,

他就给约瑟祝福说，愿我祖亚伯拉罕和我父以撒行事为人都在祂面前的神，就是一生牧养我直到今日的神，
- 48:16 The Angel who has redeemed me from all evil, bless the boys; And may my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; And may they be a teeming multitude in the midst of the earth.

那救赎我脱离一切患难的使者，赐福与这两个少年人。愿他们归在我的名下，和我祖亚伯拉罕、我父以撒的名下。又愿他们在这地生养众多。
- 48:17 And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him; and he took hold of his father's hand to remove it from Ephraim's head onto Manasseh's head.

约瑟见他父亲把右手按在以法莲的头上，就不喜悦，便提起他父亲的手，要从以法莲的头上挪到玛拿西的头上。
- 48:18 And Joseph said to his father, Not so, my father, for this is the firstborn. Put your right hand upon his head.

约瑟对他父亲说，我父，不是这样。这个才是长子，求你把右手按在他的头上。
- 48:19 But his father refused and said, I know, my son, I know. He also will become a people, and he also will be great. However, his younger brother will become greater than he, and his seed will become a multitude of nations.

他父亲不肯，说，我知道，我儿，我知道。他也必成为一族，也必昌大。只是他的弟弟将来比他还大；他弟弟的后裔必成为多族。
- 48:20 And he blessed them that day, saying, By you Israel will bless, saying, God make you like Ephraim and like Manasseh. Thus he set Ephraim before Manasseh.

当日以色列给他们祝福说，以色列人必指着你们祝福说，愿神使你如以法莲、玛拿西一样。于是立以法莲在玛拿西之前。
- 48:21 And Israel said to Joseph, Now I am about to die, but God will be with you and will bring you again to the land of your fathers.

以色列又对约瑟说，看哪，我快要死了，但神必与你们同在，领你们回到你们列祖之地。
- 48:22 Moreover I have given to you one portion more than your brothers, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.

并且我从前用刀用弓，从亚摩利人手里夺取的那块地，我都赐给你，使你比众弟兄多得一分。
