- 41:1 And in the seventh month Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the royal family and one of the chief officers of the king, and ten men with him came to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam at Mizpah. And there they ate bread together in Mizpah.

七月间，王的宗室大臣，以利沙玛的孙子，尼探雅的儿子以实玛利，带着十个人，来到米斯巴见亚希甘的儿子基大利；他们在米斯巴一同吃饭。
- 41:2 Then Ishmael the son of Nethaniah and the ten men who were with him rose up and struck down Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, with the sword and put him to death, whom the king of Babylon had appointed governor in the land.

尼探雅的儿子以实玛利和同他来的那十个人起来，用刀杀了沙番的孙子亚希甘的儿子基大利，就是巴比伦王所派管理那地的。
- 41:3 And Ishmael also struck down all the Jews who were with him, that is, with Gedaliah in Mizpah, as well as the Chaldeans who were found there, the men of war.

以实玛利又杀了在米斯巴基大利那里的一切犹大人，和那里所遇见的迦勒底兵丁。
- 41:4 And on the next day after he had put Gedaliah to death, and no one knew about it,

他杀了基大利的第二天，还无人知道，
- 41:5 Men came from Shechem, from Shiloh, and from Samaria, eighty men, with shaved beards and torn garments, having cut themselves and having meal offerings and incense in their hand to bring to the house of Jehovah.

有八十人从示剑、示罗、撒玛利亚来，胡须剃去，衣服撕裂，身体划破，手拿素祭和乳香，要奉到耶和华的殿。
- 41:6 And Ishmael the son of Nethaniah went out from Mizpah to meet them, weeping all along as he went; and as he met them he said to them, Come to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam.

尼探雅的儿子以实玛利出米斯巴迎接他们，随走随哭；遇见了他们，就对他们说，你们可以来见亚希甘的儿子基大利。
- 41:7 And when they came into the midst of the city, Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, he and the men who were with him, slaughtered them and cast them into the pit.

他们到了城中，尼探雅的儿子以实玛利和同着他的人就将他们杀了，抛在坑中。
- 41:8 But ten men were found among them who said to Ishmael, Do not kill us, for we have hidden stores of wheat and barley and oil and honey in the field. So he refrained and did not put them to death along with their brothers.

只是他们中间有十个人对以实玛利说，不要杀我们，因为我们有许多小麦、大麦、油、蜜，藏在田间。于是他住了手，没有将他们杀在弟兄中间。
- 41:9 And the pit into which Ishmael cast all the corpses of the men whom he had slain because of Gedaliah (it was the one which Asa the king had made on account of Baasha the king of Israel), Ishmael the son of Nethaniah filled with the slain.

以实玛利杀这些人是因基大利的缘故，他将所击杀之人的尸首，都抛在坑里；这坑原是从前亚撒王因提防以色列王巴沙所挖的；尼探雅的儿子以实玛利，将那些被杀的人填满了坑。
- 41:10 Then Ishmael took captive all the remnant of the people who were in Mizpah: the king's daughters and all the people who were left in Mizpah, whom Nebuzaradan the captain of the bodyguard had committed to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam; so Ishmael the son of Nethaniah took them captive and went out to cross over to the children of Ammon.

以实玛利将米斯巴余剩的人，就是众公主和仍住在米斯巴所有的百姓，都掳去了，这些人原是护卫长尼布撒拉旦委托给亚希甘的儿子基大利的；尼探雅的儿子以实玛利掳了他们，要过到亚扪人那里去。
- 41:11 But when Johanan the son of Kareah and all the leaders of the forces who were with him heard of all the evil which Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had done,

加利亚的儿子约哈难，和同着他的众军长，听见尼探雅的儿子以实玛利所行的一切恶，
- 41:12 They took all the men and went to fight with Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and they found him by the great pool which was in Gibeon.

就带领众人前往，要和尼探雅的儿子以实玛利争战，在基遍的大水池旁遇见他。
- 41:13 And when all the people who were with Ishmael saw Johanan the son of Kareah and all the captains of the forces who were with him, they rejoiced.

以实玛利那里的众人看见加利亚的儿子约哈难，和同着他的众军长，就都欢喜。
- 41:14 And so all the people whom Ishmael had taken captive from Mizpah turned around and came back and went to Johanan the son of Kareah.

这样，以实玛利从米斯巴所掳去的众人，都回转归向加利亚的儿子约哈难。
- 41:15 But Ishmael the son of Nethaniah escaped from Johanan with eight men and went to the children of Ammon.

尼探雅的儿子以实玛利和八个人，逃离约哈难，往亚扪人那里去了。
- 41:16 Then Johanan the son of Kareah and all the captains of the forces with him took all the remnant of the people whom he brought back from Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, from Mizpah, after he had struck down Gedaliah the son of Ahikam: mighty men, men of war, and women and little children and eunuchs whom he brought back from Gibeon.

加利亚的儿子约哈难，和同着他的众军长，接收了余剩的一切百姓，就是兵丁、妇女、孩童、太监，把他们从以实玛利那里，从基遍都夺回来；这些人原是尼探雅的儿子以实玛利杀了亚希甘的儿子基大利以后，从米斯巴掳去的。
- 41:17 And they went and stayed in Geruth Chimham, which is near Bethlehem, in order to go and enter into Egypt

他们去到靠近伯利恒的基罗特金罕住下，要进入埃及去；
- 41:18 Because of the Chaldeans; for they were afraid of them since Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had struck down Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon had appointed over the land.

这是由于迦勒底人的缘故；因为尼探雅的儿子以实玛利，杀了巴比伦王所派管理那地的亚希甘的儿子基大利，约哈难和同着他的人就惧怕迦勒底人。
